Music Blossoms

My kids have been taking piano lessons from Kay for 5 years and 11 months now.   As their musical talents have grown and blossomed so has their confidence in themselves.

I love having music in my home.  It brings so much peace and happiness to our family.  She is a wonderful teacher.

Sparks are Flying

check out awesome deals at My Patriot SupplyMy Patriot Supply Company had offered to provide seeds for the kids to plant at Mike's Eagle Scout project, an emergency preparedness fair.  Due to a minor mistake the seeds did not come.

The company contacted us and they wanted to stay true to their word.  They pledged to help Mike and they wanted another way to assist him and the scouts.

When they discovered he was an assistant Weblows leader, they offered to send him firestarters for him and his boys.  They came in the mail today.  It is so nice when people can admit they made a mistake and take the responsibility to make things right.  In the next few weeks the boys will be learning how to make fires with their own firestarters.  The sparks will be flying!!!!

A Kayaking Partner

My sweet husband whisked me away for an over night paddling/camping trip!!! There were no kids, no computers, no television, no radio,  no telephone, no cooking, no dishes, no nothing.

It was so peaceful, being alone together in nature.  Did you ever notice that sunsets are always more beautiful over water?

Grandmother's Compainion, Helper and Friend

Ruthanne happily volunteered to give up the last summer of her High School career to help her Grandmother.  Her grandmother has recently undergone a double knee replacement surgery and become limited in what she could do.  Ruthanne is spending her summer days cooking, cleaning, weeding, gardening and chauffeuring.  Ruthanne's quiet, kind, sweet, simple ways has made her a great helper, companion and friend to her grandmother.

A Beginning

The people, who are the most happy, are those who can see the silver lining in every cloud.  Instead of looking for the bad in people and situations around us we need to look for all of good things in the world around us.  It is easy to miss the rainbow and just see the rain.  It is time we start looking for rainbows!!!!
